Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and us. “We” and “us” means Davis Group Pty Ltd (ABN 49 620 478 248). By using firecalculators.com you agree to them. Creating an account or subscribing also confirms you are 18 or older.

How we handle personal information is set out in our Privacy Policy.

The calculators produce projections from assumptions you choose. They are general information only. They are not financial product advice, tax advice or legal advice, and they do not take into account your objectives, financial situation or needs.

Tax rates, contribution caps and other rules change, and every model simplifies. We work to keep the figures accurate and current, but we do not promise they are complete or free of errors, and no projection is a guarantee of future returns. The method and its limits are set out on the Assumptions & method page.

Decisions you make are your own. Consider speaking to a licensed financial adviser or registered tax agent before acting on anything the calculators show.

Every calculator is free to use without an account. A free account lets you keep one saved plan.

If you create an account, you agree to:

• give accurate details and keep them up to date;
• keep your sign-in secure and not share it; and
• take responsibility for what happens under your account.

Plus costs $12 a month or $99 a year, including GST. The price and currency are shown at checkout before you pay, and that is the amount you are charged. Payments are processed by Stripe.

You pay in advance for each month or year. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each period, at the price then current, until you cancel.

What Plus includes is described on the pricing page. We may improve and change its features over time.

You can cancel at any time from Manage billing on Your plans. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep Plus until the end of the period you have paid for, then your account returns to the free plan. Your saved plans stay in your account and can still be opened.

We do not give refunds or credits for part of a period or for time you did not use, except where the law requires it or these terms say otherwise.

If a payment fails, Stripe may try again. If it still cannot be collected, your subscription ends and your account returns to the free plan.

If we raise the price of Plus, we will tell you at least 30 days before it applies to you. The new price starts at your next renewal, and you can cancel before then.

If we stop offering Plus, or permanently remove a major feature you have paid for, we will refund the unused part of your current period.

Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law, and consumers elsewhere may have similar rights under their own law. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or changes those rights — including your right to a remedy if a service fails to meet a guarantee.

Please do not:

• use the site for anything unlawful;
• scrape it, or load it with automated requests beyond ordinary personal use;
• try to get into accounts or data that are not yours, or probe, disrupt or overload the site;
• resell or redistribute the service.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these rules, with notice where that is reasonable. If we close a paid account for any other reason, we will refund the unused part of the current period.

The inputs and plans you save are yours. You let us store and process them only so we can provide the service to you. Files you export are yours to use however you like.

The site itself — its calculators, code, text and design — belongs to us or our licensors. You may use it for your own purposes, but please do not copy or republish substantial parts of it without our permission.

We aim to keep the site available and working correctly, but we cannot promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free, and it may be unavailable during maintenance. We may change or withdraw free features at any time.

As far as the law allows:

• we are not liable for any loss arising from decisions you make based on the calculators or their projections;
• we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, such as lost profits or lost opportunities; and
• our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.

None of this limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited, including under the Australian Consumer Law.

You can stop using the site at any time. To delete your account and its saved plans, cancel any subscription and email support@firecalculators.com. Deleting an account does not refund the current period, except as these terms or the law provide.

We may update these terms. When we do, we update the date at the top, and if a change materially affects you, we will tell account holders at least 14 days before it takes effect. If you do not agree to a change, you can cancel and stop using the site before then.

These terms are governed by the law of New South Wales, Australia, and the courts of New South Wales can hear any dispute about them. If you are a consumer living elsewhere, you keep any protections of your local law that cannot be excluded.
